Great read! I like how King mixes the mundane, every day aspects of Charlie's life and the fantasy world of Empis. It was fun to read about an event or sight from the fantasy world and have Charlie compare it to something from his life on Earth. King does this masterfully as it never becomes a lazy way to describe something but a way to relate to the main character, who you grow to love b y the end. Aspects of Grimms, Bradbury, Lovecraft and of course King are all present in this epic story. Worth the read!
