Initially, I started watching the show because of one of the actors, but I quickly found myself invested in the series as a whole. The characters show remarkable depth, facing numerous challenges, and their emotional growth is incredibly satisfying to witness. When they finally overcome their personal struggles and become better versions of themselves, it's a rewarding experience for the viewer. One of the highlights of Heels is the balance it strikes between the wrestling action and the behind-the-scenes drama. As someone who’s never been a fan of WWE, I found the exploration of how wrestling works to be genuinely interesting. The show dives into the inner workings of the sport while keeping the drama engaging and accessible, even to viewers like me who aren’t wrestling enthusiasts. The family dynamics are another strength of Heels. The relationships between the characters feel authentic and raw, drawing you in as if you're a fan sitting in the stands of their small-town wrestling promotion. It’s easy to get sucked into their world, and the dramatic tension is often gripping. For example, when Bobby broke his leg, I was genuinely shocked and found myself completely absorbed by the moment. Even though I can't comment on how authentic the wrestling scenes are compared to WWE, they’re certainly engaging and visually captivating. The show manages to sprinkle in humor perfectly, with jokes that feel natural and well-timed, adding a nice balance to the more serious moments. Overall, I’d rate Heels much higher than most recent TV shows. It’s not just a wrestling show; it’s a heartfelt drama with complex characters, engaging storylines, and a surprising amount of emotional depth. *********Spoilers******** One of the standout moments for me was when Crystal won the belt. It was such an inspiring episode, and the way they allowed her to keep the belt made it feel like I was right there in Duffy, witnessing the whole thing live. Another moment that stood out was when she beat up a guy in the bar, showing how strong and independent her character is. These moments, among others, make Heels an unforgettable experience.
