The beginning of the book was promising and simple. Frenchie and his brother are separated and Frenchie is in need of survival without him. He finds the family and from that point on the book becomes a snore fest.
The events quickly become more and more lack luster. The book overstimulates the reader that even the most devastating events cast a weak effect emotionally. The book attempts to entice you into believing that this could be a reality but the realism becomes non existence. Minerva destroying a school with her voice? Really? The book has its highs and lows, but all you will remember from the book is its lows.
I was a victim to this horrible book in my grade 11 class , I hope nobody has to go through what me and many more went through.
