“Blood Meridian” was on a book list I was given by an English literature professor. It was first on the list. After adjusting to the prose and the awful violence, I knew that I’d read something very special! I read that it’s the most important American novel in a century and I agree but due to it’s violence, which is emotionally taxing, I don’t think I’ll read it again…maybe…I own the hardback and it will not see the trash can.
