Absolutely amazing. If you're someone who is a big fan of history or just Viking culture this has everything. Really illustrates the brutality of man but also the beauty of rituals, legends and mysticism that human culture has cultivated. It's an angry movie following a man bent on unwavering revenge with the help of a witch to aide him along. It's a beautiful film, really showing the open scapes of the north Atlantic and with very detailed and accurate sets. If you're looking for something that's just a straightforward action film this isn't it. There's lots of dialogue in this in old speech and foreign languages, some of it is hard to make out at times due to heavy accents. Regardless it immerses you in this time of human history. The action and violence in this is fantastic and brutal. It doesn't hold back when it kicks off.
