This is a movie promoted with too much hype and reviewed by people rating it far too favorably. The back and forth of the story is difficult to follow. The scientists personalities are not well-developed and the cast is too numerous to follow the storyline line easily . The sound is poor and makes the dialog difficult to understand. There are two major stories being told here - the development of the bomb and the later reaction to Oppenheimer's evolving attitude to the use of nuclear weapons. Each might warrant two hours, but using three hours on both is overkill, but inadequate. Both male leads are most impressive. The female characters are all non-descript, but it could hardly be otherwise. The short nude scenes were unnecessary and only included because every adult movie should have a a little titillation thrown in. This movie has received unusual praise only because the movie industry is in great need of revitalizaton after COVID.
