Bad acting, strange music cues (boy takes out flashlight: cue epic, strange noise-music), and interesting cinema photography (don't pan, just shoot multiple angles). If you are particular and get annoyed with these kinds of things, you've read the right review. The first five minutes into the first episode gives all that away and nothing fun really happens until something strange shows up 75% through the first episode. It felt like a REALLY bad (or barely thought through) Star Wars movie (and I've only seen the 1st episode of this Lost In Space).
The story-line is presented in a rather confusing manner BEGGING for flashbacks to explain, but they don't happen until you're thoroughly confused.
I've never heard of Lost in Space before and I now have an interesting impression, sadly. It has a lot of potential, but this version was poor.
I KNOW Netflix has done better. There were some inconsistencies with the 1st episode toward the beginning, and then one toward the end (e.g. robot potentially burning girl alive while melting ice to save her...please explain...)
I only watched the first episode and walked away. This series may not be for you, or it may be, but it's a little strange from the get go...
