I’m not a huge Elvis fan but felt optimistic looking at the performance outcome of similar movies - rocket man and queen.
Austin’s acting and singing was immaculate and nothing short of amazing.
The costumes were thought out perfectly.
Although the start of the film was promising, looking at Elvis’ youth and start into music. It was great to bring a modern day highlight of segregation and how music brought everyone together.
However, It quickly shifted into another Tom Hanks movie. With constant repetition of the international hotel though the years (which could of been condensed).
Lack of his true self (drug abuse and other issues).
I wouldn’t recommend the movie especially for a whopping 2+ hours.
