I loved Private Romeo and I've watched it over and over, each time getting something new. It's a wonderful reinterpretation of Romeo and Juliet with gay men at young men's military school. After watching it, it left me questioning, wasn't the conflict a gay-straight conflict as well as a conflict between the families, as in Romeo and Juliet? A and flowing back and forth between the cadets actual lives and the play they were reading out orally in class.
Private Romeo is one of my favorite films ever. As a romantic, I could watch it over and over for years to come.
