THIS BOOK surpassed my expectations of reading a light hearted novel; I learned more from this story about China, ethnic groups
in China, traditions and progress in remote locations.
I have travelled in China and had several Chinese friends at work,
mainly physicians, yet TEAGIRL taught me so much...
I tried to find Chinese tea at several supermarkets, but without success. I will definitely buy several copies of the book to give to
my three daughters and recommend that friends read it too.
Two families of my acquaintance have adopted daughters from
China. One family lives in Northern Canada and the other in
New Hampshire - unfortunately I don't have close contact with either
family, however, intend to recommend TEAGIRL to both families.
My book discussion group happens to meet this evening discussing
this book. I expect that everyone will be enthused about the story
and the challenging questions derived from it!
