Jenette Graham

This is a compelling book set in modern England which deals with complex contemporary issues in a gentle and understanding manner. Although a sequel to Dear H the novel does stand alone. Tilly the main character and narrator is 17 and experiencing an unplanned pregnancy as well as her mother's death. Diane Guntrip's many years of teaching and counselling is evident in the sympathetic character portrayals. It is a book which most teenagers would benefit from reading.
