My expectations for 'A beautiful life' were very high because I have put Denmark's Christoffer on a pedestal due to his fantastic ability to create world-class songs and melodies. The film's setup and scenes have been seen before and similar stories about a diamond in the rough, yet the plot is set in fine contrast and with a brilliant balance of both known and unknown faces that at one and the same time. The story is ordinary and relatable, a little sugar sweet but enhanced by brilliant acting performances and music that goes straight to the heart of those who have one.All expectations have been met, and proud that slightly less Hollywood is the new 'black'
