I've seen so many horror films/series, but this just absolutely knocked me sick. I thought I had high tolerance for stuff like this, but this series takes it to a different level. The color scheme, camera angles, Evan Peters as Dahmer, the cast, everything about this is unsettling and nauseating. It's a lot more psychological, and it really got me that I had to stop watching after each episode so I could return to it in a different headspace.
This series shows how truly disturbing, selfish, vile, manipulative, and gross Dahmer was. It doesn't glamorize what he did or try to evoke sympathy from the audience. This is exactly how serial killers should be depicted in the media. This series also sheds light on social injustices, homophobia, racism, police negligence, and generally negative disposition towards mental health.
