For my interests, my favorite book of all time. The topic at times is disturbing so Larson's use of alternating chapters between the scenes of horror commited with the backdrop of the development of the Chicago World's Fair of 1893 is pure genious. I first read the book many years ago and could not put the book down - it is that intense a read. I would recommend this work (as well as any of his other non-fiction works) to anyone who enjoys true crime or any lover of a great novel, period.
