If you've only known Joan Collins as Alexis Carrington Colby, then this film will be a revelation. Throughout, she is believable as a naive and vulnerable young woman in love w/ an older, wealthy, man at a time when the vocational options for women, especially those without means, were severely limited. The script is a bit spotty in parts but, if you came for Collins, you won't be disappointed.
