There is so much WRONG with this movie. If the writers had been in charge of D-day, we would all be goose-stepping today. (Too bad about those concentration camps - politically it's their fault not ours.) As for the drone pilots, whoever got the idea they could refuse a direct command (however much they didn't like it) and get an "attaboy" from their commanding officer. Real world - they would have been canned and their commander sent home. Bottom line, the movie's premise is baloney. Military and political planners wold have already done EXTENSIVE assessments of that particular scenario. All of the phone calls were laughable. And don't forget that Mirren's character mentioned AT THE START that she didn't have the right weapons on the drone. So where was the backup drone????? They had enough time making phone calls to launch six backup drones with the correct armament. As a military veteran, my message to those drone pilots is that I would NEVER trust you with my life in a pinch.
