It was cute and very nostalgic. I loved how empowering it was, but I hated how they treated Ken in the movie (not that they portrayed him as dumb. He is dumb, but that they made Barbie so independent that she had to completely disregard his feelings) I found myself feeling sorry for him, which I felt defeated the point of their feminist theme. I feel like it could've been done in such a better and more classy way. However, Margot Robbie, and Ryan Gosling's performance were incredible. They by far saved the movie. The plot was so shallow that I left the theater feeling confused about what I haven't even watched. The success of this movie should be completely accredited to the marketing team and Ryan Gosling.
