I’m a massive fan of the Teen Wolf series and was super excited for the film, however, I was left disappointed.
The story line was decent but the film just felt so rushed. I think what made the series so likeable was the chemistry between the characters, the film hardly had any of this.
The only ‘chemistry’ I would say there was is between Derek and his son, Liam and Mason were like brothers in the series but only say 2 sentences to each other in the film? And neither of them look happy to see one another. Liam’s character also seems incredibly angry for some reason, he had anger issues in the series but still had a good relationship with the others.
There also wasn’t one scene with Scott and Liam, his supposed Beta?
Allison and Lydia were also like family, but all they did was hug once after being reunited for 15 years. No words to each other.
Dereks death just felt random and awkward, and honestly disrespectful. He dies and his son is crying (obviously) and Scott and Allison are stood right next to him kissing.
It just felt like an action film, most of the characters felt like strangers to each other and hardly interacted. There was no teamwork between each other or comedy, maybe apart from Jackson at parts.
