Despite all the bad reviews, I bought this game because I had faith in Activision. I loved all their games at least a little bit. Every COD before 2014 was my childhood games I grew up on, and the new gen of modern warfare/black ops series were great too. Even Infinite Warfare had fun zombies. But the reviews were right. The campaign was short, boring, lazy, and uninteresting. "Open combat missions" just means "we're too lazy to come up with a story so we're just going to let you do it". You can easily tell how rushed this campaign was. I found every single mission forgettable (except for the first one) and the plot to be terrible. I wasn't expecting much either. I always looked forward to the campaigns. MW (2019) had a great story and MW 2 (2022) was one of the best campaigns in any COD game to me. This one was easily the worst. The multiplayer experience is the most infuriating experience I have ever had. I let it marinate too. I played all weekend for hours so that I really got a good feel for the game. I played the beta and hated it but still gave this multiplayer a fresh start. I admit the "finished" game had a better multiplayer than the beta, but that isn't saying much. I have played every single Call of Duty starting with COD 4 and this one cannot be matched by how frustrating it is. The TTK is completely inconsistent. Spawn points are as senseless as ever. The guns are dull, the maps are recycled, and overall the experience is just awful. The only good thing is the movement; it's clean and fast. Other than that though... no creativity, no originality, no effort. Don't even get me started about zombies. I'm not even mad about how terrible this game is. However I am incredibly disappointed at how one of the biggest gaming companies can create such a horrible game. It's become painfully obvious that the only thing the developers care about is their money. At first, I found the "$70 DLC" comments annoying. But now I know they were right. Be better Activision. The bottom line, DO NOT BUY THIS SORRY EXCUSE FOR A GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
