Please- don’t tarnish a great series by watching this. Like many others here, I loved The Last Kingdom series, and was thrilled to learn about this film. However, I couldn’t even get past the first 20 minutes without turning it off. -Spoiler alert- So many issues- and this is just within the first 20 minutes - No explanation about how or why king Edward dies. - No appearance by several key characters nor any explanation as to where they are or what they are doing . - The unnecessary gay scene with Aethelstan , and the LGBTQ propaganda - The HORRIBLE script!! So much is going on , too many story lines, it was impossible to track without pausing and talking it out. - The ridiculous bipolar characters! There were such inconsistencies in the characters, I never knew who was good or bad or who to root for. - Shall I go on? - And that was in less than 20 minutes. I’m mad that i even watched any of it, it has tarnished my memory of a great series. Watch the series over again instead.
