Logan Anderson

I grew up watching it as a kid and have watched it multiple times as an adult as well. Is it ecchi every now and then yes, but usually for a comedy gag that ends up being hilarious at times. However where it truly shines is in the story, fighting, music and characters. The show is well paced with kenichi getting stronger organically, making friends out of enemies, and learning more about what it means to be a man and a martial artist. 10/10 amazing series.

I'm just going to say before my review that I am a MASSIVE fan of the original series. I grew up watching it as a child and watched it multiple times throughout my life. This show isn't telling the same story 1 for 1, but that's ok. I binged all 8 episodes because of how good it is. The story is a darker more mature take on the story, yet still manages to capture the heart and comedy of the original show as well. Yes the characters are somewhat different, and events happen differently. However the changes do actually work for the story its telling. The effects, set design, costumes and choreography are all also a treat and a half to see and the bending is AMAZING. 5 out of 5 stars, can't wait for season 2.
