Having not played the first I actually really enjoyed this. Every Resi game brings something different to the table, this one was more brutal. Yes it is short, but I feel like that was purposeful... when beating game you can then buy items for next playthrough, it’s meant to be played more than once. Found characters well designed and very likeable as well which is always nice (except of course Nikolai who you end up hating as much as you’re meant to). I’m sure devs had a budget they were sticking to and considering how nice the cutscenes look it seems like they put a fair amount into that. My only real problem was that I was noticing zombies in background getting quite choppy at times which never happened in RE2 remake. In short, thought overall it was a very good game/good experience. 4 stars due to small issue with zombies in distance and zombie skins from RE2 being re-used.
