I read this book many years ago when I was a kid trying to play high school football. It changed my way of thinking about the NFL. Back then the big bone crushing hits were way more popular than a 40 yard touchdown pass. Guys became legends for how hard they hit ad how many guys they knocked out. Jack Tatum's words in this book started the slow process of change.
