Can anyone out there today besides me enjoy a wonderful 1937 Cary Grant Love story with the great Opera Singer Grace Moore and a great supporting cast? Or has the trash of today's "Moves" so ruined your ability to feel real music and heartfelt emotion? Follow my lead and see this movie to the end and just maybe you will open a place in your heart you never knew was there all along.

Great classic music and unexpected cartoons and animations. Face it modern "Music" is horrific and the final end came around 1985. With that said it's great to hear the pop music from 1930 to the 1950's with the great big bands. You remember? Bands that could play and Vocalists that can sing on key and hit the fun stuff making you want to swing dance and look around for a time machine to go back to golden age of music. PS: the decor of a nuclear post-apocalypse world and a great female robot calling the tunes is absolutely COOL!

Have we lost the ability to appreciate some of the greatest film comedies in the history of movie making? I fear that is the sad truth. While the "politically correct" crowd can nitpick at some parts of "How to murder your wife" as being dated or worse. Those who can relax and enjoy a superb performance by Jack Lemon and the gorgeous Virna Lisi will relish the twists and turns of a great comedy with a heart of gold. You will leave the theater or your home setup with a smile on your face thinking "I wonder why they don't make great movies like that any more" ?

Thunder Road shows how a small low budget black and white movie with a solid script great acting and directing are far more important than the current special effects outer space garbage movies being ground out by the studios. Great movies that draw you into the character's life and have that feeling of authenticity are what made buying a ticket worth while. One can only hope that the current cycle of worthless "Block Busters" will run its course and disappear.
