Excellent!! A very vthorough and comprehensive account of the lives and achievements of Lachlan and Elizabeth Macquarie. Well researched with a wide range of appropriate illustrations. Would Australia be the country it is today without the influence and achievements of the first Govenor and his wife? A book which should be widely read, not only by Australians but anyone interested in the democratic process and the influence one generation can have over subsequent followers. An achievement to be proud of by Austin Lovegrove
