I tried to like it. Watched it twice, but kinda felt the same thing, like it was lacking something. Samuel Jackson is a gem in this movie. Aside from the topnotch visual effects, snappy humor and quips, wrapped in the heartwarming backdrop of the 90s; the motive felt forced; lacking any amicable source of foundation to support the premise that the movie tries its hardest to validate. Brie Larson is a great actress, but her performance as the franchise's most powerful super is just not that believable nor was it memorable. And this not being entirely-attributed to the politics outside the movie itself remains a bog diehard fans painstakingly try to cross.
