Love the focus on specific familial/love relationships, as well as work/professional relationships, e.g. mother/daughter; wife/husband; farmer/Captain & Thomas. Narration by the pubescent daughter is compelling, as well as the evolving strength of all three main female characters. The writing is excellent, making us feel as though we know them, both as pioneers as well as individuals and humans in relationships. This has become one of my favorite TV shows of all time thus far.
