I started watching American Idol this season, (2021). In the beginning it was cool and interesting to see the different types of singers. But as the show got serious the judges were at that point sending people with bad performances through, and sending some of the best contestants home. It was really frustrating to watch people who you could clearly see worked harder go home, for a weak performance to move on. I don’t know if these judges (Lionel, Katy Perry, and that other white dude) are staging these episodes or what, but I’m not gonna lie they could have done better when choosing witch people to go through. For example there was a guy Murphy, he was going blind. He was most definitely a top 5 😐. Getting his hopes up acting like he was going through, all to say no. I am so glad he kept his head up, but Katy definitely wasn’t feeling him as soon as he got there. Another performance like Jayson Warrior. His show stopper performance was AMAZING. Luckily he went through, but I couldn’t help but here Lionel say “You give it your all, but it can be to much”. Uhh I’m sorry but isn’t this supposed to be a “show stopping” performance? 🤨. You get fussy when people don’t give it their all, but when someone does apparently it’s “to much”, make it make sense?...Overall there is some great talent on the show, but it feels like it passes the judges right bye. I can’t tell you when’s the last time I heard any of their songs, so for them to be telling some people that “it’s not what we’re looking for” and it wasn’t to their liking, even though I’m a kid and that’s what OTHER KIDS LISTEN TO?? They are all out of touch with what’s really going on in the music world. Moving forward I will only be watching this show for a few people that are worthy. I could care less now what the judges have to say. Thank you.
