I enjoyed reading this book and was not surprised at how hard of a decision these women had. They are raised believing that man is the head and women have no say but to listen I lived near a Hutterite colony and became good friends with alot of the women. They are very kind and will help you but I truly believe many things like this can happen. I truly feel sorry for those who leave and don’t have alot of help to try and live in the real world, it has to be like an emigrant who goes to a new country and has to learn to live and learn the language. It is hard to understand that you are not able to ever associate with your family again because of your decision to leave.
