Any time Meryl Streep makes a movie, I must see it because I believe she is the best actress I have ever seen and I must admit the entire cast was exceptionally good! But this was a horrible movie! I can accept a movie that makes me sad, anxious, angry, stressed, or depressed, but not all at once! When I finally left the theater, I felt like a prisoner released from prison! When I go to a theater, I want to be entertained, not tortured! This may be Number 1 on my list of all time loathsome movies!

Excellent movie with my favorite, Bette Davis, and other legendary actresses and I love George Sanders in everything he ever made.

Even with the sad ending, this is still a feel good movie and one of those that I have to stop and watch when I am scrolling thru the channels! Maybe it's because I am from the South and this story and the characters are a reminder of my childhood. The characters are so quirky and lovable and these actresses are perfection, especially Shirley MacLaine and Olympia Dukakis! I wish Hollywood would make more quality movies like this!

I loved every minute of Mr Mercedes! Brendon Gleeson and Harry Treadaway were perfectly cast for this and no one could have done this better! But where is season 4?
