I love this movie. It's a fictional story, yes, but it has an amazing human message. So many people feel rejected or marginalized by society. ACCEPTED demonstrates the magic that can happen when rejected people have a place to go where they can not only be themselves, but discover their potential. I wish there had been a South Harmon when I was in college...

In a Hollywood where remaking 80s movies seems to be the new modus operandi, it was refreshing to see a movie that incorporated some originality. Perhaps this is why critics don't know what to make of it. This, kids, is what we call a real movie. I concede that the execution was nebulous at times, but Adrien Brody delivered his usual solid performance, and it was great to see Kris Kristofferson again!
