The movie couldn't depict the right rhythm and true sequence of the story written by Hardy. Actually, this story cannot be told accurately in a movie of two hours. The beauty of the book is not in the story, but it's beauty lies in the way Hardy narrated it slowly and calmly. This was exactly what was missing in the movie. If someone wants to do justice to this book, then it can only be done by making a TV series on it.
