After all the hype and build up by the BBC I was expecting a great series. What a shame. I haven't read the books so cant compare. It seems its trying to hard to deliver a message and has totally forgotten what tv is ,entertainment. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and had to give up at the half way point of episode two. Other reviews have said they like the way it gives the viewer time to settle into. Come on I was bored shirtless! Don't waste your time ,watch seven worlds one planet if you want thrills. Easily the best TV that the BBC provides.
