I was excited to see all of the characters in this movie, especially Lauren after all that she's been through. I was rooting for her the entire film. Now, the chemistry was way off with her and Jonah Hill--I love them both. They looked like they genuinely enjoyed some laughs together, but they looked really uncomfortable together, and it made me feel uncomfortable. I think that Lauren didn't want her first film after her love died to be one where she was shown intimate and naked. I just got that vibe, could be wrong. But it was really hard to get past. Also a lot of the movie just felt like banter! That got annoying after a few minutes. I love me some Sam Jay, but basically it started to feel like a spin off of her show. She was just venting about her real opinions the whole movie. Deon Cole and Mike Epps made me laugh hard. They had Eddie Murphy talking like he was 20 years old lol. I just really hated the outdated stereotypes--I wish they could've shown black and white people in better lights... but I guess this conversation is always needed...still? Idk it was a good idea, good cast, maybe just not the best execution.
