profoundly loving this book and all the connections literally and metaphorically he makes for me. I have softened wondered about these things and thought I was going mad! I too grew up in New York City with amazing cooks...and access to many food traditions; but it wasn't until I moved to a farm and got to live closely with animals and plants did I see how big a role agriculture plays in our every day existence. I also had the eye opener that if we treat ourselves and others as livestock buying and selling and using labor as "free" and dispensable... we too have much to lose and see.
Thank you for writing this book and sharing your words and vision.
