I’ve struggled to find many games that capture my attention these days. I’ve been a gamer for most of my life with my first role playing game being Dragon Warrior on the original NES. As such I was skeptical when the game stop employee told me I would like this game. I just felt like I’ve seen it all and done it all. But, in fact this game is pretty awesome. I’m really loving it and it’s pulled my attention away from Call of Duty Mobile which is saying something. I can’t quite place what it is. Well, let’s start with the characters and the dialogue. It’s done really well! I found myself instantly loving Eriks character. He’s a great side kick. I won’t go into the others,except to say they are great. I like the crafting system as well. It’s a lot of fun and adds some variety to the game without being so complicated it makes you want to not do it. The graphics are amazing. Really vibrant with a great color scheme. Now the only thing I think could’ve been better is the soundtrack. I am a huge music guy. I fell in love with the Golden Sun soundtrack as arguably the best of any game I’ve played. That’s not to say this games music is bad, it’s just such a fun game over all I was hoping it would be at the Golden Sun level. The storyline also instantly grabbed me. When you see what happens when you return to the first village you will be left in amazement. Such a good story twist that did not have to be there. So, should you buy this game? You bet, trust me I was skeptical but it’s great and I’m thoroughly enjoying it.
