There are great special effects, but much more violent in more scenes.They change the character of Bond to someone that gave up at the end. If he had time to call his lovely girlfriend, he had time to escape. Obviously the writers wanted the franchise to evolve to another level in the future. Additionally a statement was being about violent, as in positive verses negative and you lose either way!
