I have read the book several times and watched the original adaption for television. The version of The Stand is awful. From the casting to the jumping back and forth in the timeline the story is disjointed. So much of who the characters are was left out or was changed completely for no apparent reason. The way Trashcanman is portrayed is a joke. The version of the Vegas community in this series is nothing like the book and is just a cliche. If you are a fan of the book, stay away you will only be disappointed.
