This was an excellent movie Kevin Costner style. Some people complained that there were too many storylines - there were only 3. According to her review, it was obvious that Amanda K. paid no attention at all to the movie as she complained that in the beginning “there was a random woman shooting a random man who rode off on a random horse”. She said she didn’t know who it was. If she had been paying attention, she would have known the random woman turned out to be a main character in a main storyline and it explained the shooting. She didn’t know who the man and woman selling the land were -the woman was the “random woman” in the beginning. The old woman was the wife of the man she shot and she sent the sons to find her and capture her. The montage at the end was a collage of snippets showing how hard life was then. Many people can’t follow a storyline and complain because it isn’t simple. The old west was not simple - life was hard. We thoroughly enjoyed the movie and can’t wait until chapter 2. It was excellently done, the acting was superb, the storylines interesting and very accurate to detail. To me it seemed like a combination of Centennial, 1883 and Lonesome Dove. Trust me when I say, it was an excellent movie!
