This movie was a combination of BHC 1 and 2, with heavy reliance on nostalgia to carry the film, that has a terrible script with an unnecessary father / daughter sub-plot!
This draws parallels & similarities with trying to improve the T1 & T2 without James Cameron and a solid script, their is no evolution, the same with BHC 4 !
I did enjoy seeing the original cast together once again "even though it was in brief scenes, and missing Ronnie Cox as Lt. Bogomil". The film makers still haven't figured out why BHC 1 and 2 were so good, well it's the relationship between Taggart "John Ashton" "Rosewood" Judge Reinhold, with Axel being the cool and smart cop leading them astray to get the bad guys.... that was the formula that worked!
All they needed to do is come up with a good enough script for the three of them to take down the bad guy, throwing in some action, funny moments, and a fresh new sound track that has the feel of BHC 1 / 2.
"Maybe Taggart and Rosewood goes to Detroit to help Axel on case about a bomb and they eventually end up in Beverley Hills to find a billionaire crook who is arms dealing for a foreign country"...
Just disappointing, as the chemistry between those 3 actors is evident even in this badly put together instalment,
2 out of 5 simply for the original cast and subtle moment of the wonderful nostalgia of BHC1 / 2....
