I went to watch The Super Mario Bros Movie, and left the cinema very satisfied. Being someone who has played through many of the Mario games, this movie is 100% for someone like me. Recognisable tracks, characters and references dotted throughout, it’s a game in itself trying to tally up how many you can spot! I went into this expecting how the story would go, which it did pretty much meet. That being said, not having an intensely thought out and complex plot was never going to be on my list of concerns anyway. 5 out of 5 super stars. Recommended watch!
