One word to describe this movie is WOW. Most probably the best suspense thriller ever. The first half is filled with beautiful family moments which enables the audience to connect emotionally with the family after an unexpected event which completely turns on their lives. After a light hearted first half, the film completely takes turn to thriller genre that keeps u on the edge of ur seat till the climax. And one doesnt need to think about acting when Mohanlal is the lead. It's actually the intelligent direction which holds the audience till the last moment. If you have watched the Hindi version u can clearly see the range of difference between Hindi and Malayalam cinema in terms of acting, direction, editing etc.

This is the first book I'm reading by Chetan Bhagat. I've heare a lot abtout him and his writings and always wondered, what is so special about his books what is in there which makes people go crazy. Out of deep curiosity i decided to read one of his books and chose HALF GIRLFRIEND. I started to read it without any special feelings or expectations but when i finished it i was left with a deep emotion of love and manymore feelings which i really don't know how to express or explain. The most remarkable thing is that i felt the emotions showed by both Madhav and Riya, i could feel it.It was like watching them closely as an invisible person. Not for a single moment I felt like reading a book, i felt like watching a movie in which I'm a part of it. Love , affection, care, sacrifice, break up, searching for long lost love,moving on,...this book is a roller coaster and shows all the possibilities of a love life. In the end i realised why he and his books are loved by so many people..Because ITS RELATABLE...Don't we Indians love relatable stories ...This is a must read book of Chetan Bhagat...
