Having read the Val McDermid book this is based on I was eager to watch this series but was very disappointed. No disrespect for this show and it is probably great if you’ve not read the book but the book is so thought provoking and you feel so much for the 4 students (not 3) and the way they were victimised without proof. Makes you think about ‘innocent until proven guilty’ so much more and how it affects lives. It’s taught me to stay with the book in future.
