Meghna Gulzar directed movie Sam Bahadur ran in a linear fashion across India's historical landscape, pre and post Independence demonstrating the strategic military leadership of the now legendary Sam Manekshaw( Sam Bahadur) who led with his decisive action to win four wars, post Indian Independence, the first being with the British Indian Army. Vicky Kaushal's stellar performance of a more than stellar Chief of the Armed Forces was more than superlative. Credit goes to director Meghna Gulzar for evoking a sense of patriotism through clips of the battle cries of a united Indian army and a very slick cinematic canvas with clear strokes.An absolute must watch.

Babi Nobi's "On Safari " Is a marvellous catalogue of photographs in India and Africa, by a committed and dedicated photographer par excellence. Nobis is deeply committed to raising awareness on the dwindling tiger population. His love for this magnicent creature of the wild is no fly by night passion. The photographs are testimony to a man who understands his subject and the lens through which he views. His wife, Tina Nobis, deserves the rightful credit for painstakingly putting together Nobis' forays into the wild, so that armchair enthusiasts may enjoy this magnificent creature, glorified by William Blake in his ode to the tiger.
