Of course the acting and production is great, but it was honestly hard to watch. The fourth-wall breaks are fun... the first three times. The weird love story is a force fit. Some of the dialogues are just random. Mycroft is unusually stern. I get we're doing negative roles but his over the top hatred towards Enola and her mother is a little ridiculous. It's still at the whole 'get her married', 'make a proper lady' variety of feminism where we're still putting a smart, tomboy-ish girl on a pedestal. Everyone is over that. There was very little clue-finding and puzzle-solving. #spolieralert Her mother left her a whole box before disappearing and all we used are some chrysanthemum clues. That and some conveniently precise words she over heard from a secret women's committee meeting. Some of the moves they make also seem a bit random. But watch it for yourself, maybe I just lost track because I also lost focus and interest.
