It wanted to be a Kaufman a meta movie but was just a Walmart meta movie, designed for lowest denominator mass consumption. Didn't get a reference? Don't worry, they'll hit you over the head with it. Honestly, the funniest scene is Cage by the pool where every body hair is carefully colored and he sucks in his stomach so hard it causes sympathy cramps. The bromance over shoe wear was cute, but that's the best I can say. They didn't dig into the uncomfortable, didn't lift the hood on the ego, didn't bring out any surprises. I was glad I went but it was not a rewarding movie.
