Blame Nicole Kidman all you want, but the real problem lies with Lulu Wang. The script and directing are sophmoric at best. Dialogue is formulaic and contrived. Acting is shallow and stiff. There is nothing interesting in this going-nowhere-fast piece of drek. Save your time and don't bother watching this. Unless you're a film student and want an endless set of examples of how not to make a film. That is it's only redeeming value.
