This show is an absolute slaughtering of the books. So so so much storyline was absolutely BUTCHERED that would have been incredible episodes. The saddest part is that rather than use the scant amount of screen time they actually spent on the books actually plot, they chose to weave in a timeline of the same author that doesn’t occur for years after the end of the third book. The entirety of three novels and almost two separate books from a spin off was crammed down into two seasons. The main trilogy easily could have commanded six seasons or more worth of content without any necessary new writing because the books carry so much action and adventure. I’m completely disappointed.
