I’m worried about Leaphorn’s decision skills. For instance: he parked his 4X4 about 20 feet from the bad guys trailer. He didn’t send Bern to stake out the back door. Then, they go hunting for a nighttime bad guy who has a rifle, while they carry lit flashlights. C’mon. Back to the police academy.

The first 20 minutes are completely engrossing. An absolute wonder of filmmaking. Then the movie becomes just another WW2 cliche. Give me that first 20 minutes, and I'll switch to Band Of Brothers for good storytelling.
