Great expansion of the universe and rethinking of characters we love. Don't know why so many negative reviews. Maybe Trekkies have too many different directions they want Picard to go. The production is A+ and the plot lines, although harsh and even gloomy at times, are exciting and mostly believable in the ST universe. Season Two has more of the old ST action and episodic form as well as more philosophical bite. Finished season two, had to lower the series from 4 stars to 3. Too much SJ Message and too little plot coherence. Seems like the characters don't get developed and some dialogue feels generic.
